Z-Wave Interfaces
Every Z-Wave smart home system needs a Z-Wave “radio” or interface to connect with installed devices. Most smart hubs, like our HomeTroller Pi, have built-in interfaces, but advanced systems may need separate ones. The interfaces below are compatible with all HomeSeer and Home Assistant software and hubs.
SmartStick G8 800 Series Z-Wave Plus USB Stick
SmartStick G8 is a Z-Wave Plus V2 USB stick for use with HomeSeer, Home Assistant, and other Z-Wave compatible smart home software. SmartStick G8 offers extended wireless range and better security compared to previous SmartStick models. SmartStick G8 may be used with Z-NETs for a centrally managed, muti-network installation.

Upgrade-able
Upgrade to SmartStick G8 from any 500 series or 700 series controller running ZDK version 6.61 or later. Upgrades may ONLY be performed using HomeSeer’s Z-Wave Plus plugin or Z-Wave JS UI version 9.9.0 or later. DO NOT use PC Controller or Simplicity Studio to perform an NVM upgrade. That will render the stick unusable and will void its warranty.
SmartStick G8 offers the same Z-Wave Plus benefits of our Z-NET interface at a fraction of the cost. This USB dongle performs best when positioned near the center of the home.

Z-NET 800 Series Network Z-Wave Plus Controller
Z-NET G8 is a network-connected controller (“Radio”) that’s designed to allow HomeSeer (or Home Assistant) systems to manage Z-Wave (and optionally Zigbee) smart home devices. Since Z-NET is IP-enabled, it may be installed anywhere a network connection is available. Z-NET supports Network Wide Inclusion (NWI) for easy pairing of Z-Wave products. Multiple Z-NETs may be used together with any HomeSeer system for a centrally managed, muti-network installation; ideal for home owners with secondary residences, in-law apartments or outbuildings (pool houses, barns, workshops, sheds, etc).

Z-NET offers Z-Wave Plus controller performance in a network-connected configuration. This allows the unit to be installed anywhere a data connection exists (Etherner OR WiFi). This makes Z-NET the perfect choice for large residences and properties with outbuildings such as pool houses, barns, workshops or other quarters.
