WX300 R2 Firmware Now Available

This firmware addresses a bug that interrupts wireless commands in some systems.

HomeSeer has released a firmware update for the WX300 R2 smart dimmer that fixes a communications bug in the Silicon Labs Z-Wave serial API library supplied with the factory-shipped units.

What Does This Firmware Fix?

A bug in the included Silicon Labs Z-Wave library (v7.18.1) can prevent the dimmer from responding to Z-Wave commands if it has not been manually controlled for some time. The new firmware includes an updated Z-Wave library (v7.18.8) that fixes this issue.

Which Firmware Version Includes the Fix?

v2.20

Who Should Update?

If any of your WX300-R2 units do not respond to Z-Wave commands from your hub until you manually control the switch first, you should update the affected switches.

Does This Bug Affect R1 Switches?

No.

How to Tell If You Have WX300-R2 Switches

WX300-R2 switches were sold from June 9, 2023 – present and have firmware 2.xx installed. WX300-R1 switches were sold from Oct 22, 2021 – June 8, 2023 and have firmware 1.xx installed.
